Dr Andy Barr: CEO

Even before the inception of Marturion Electronics ltd, Andy Barr was no stranger to enterprise. As a Research Fellow with Queen’s University Belfast from 1989, his role was to develop a fledgling spin out company, Advanced Medical Technology (now known as Amtec). After four years its incubation process was complete and Andy became the first employee of the business and a subsequent shareholder and Director of Innovation. However it was participation in the prestigious Leaders for Tomorrow Programme which offers young professionals the opportunity to study at Harvard University and an industrial placement that proved to be the turning point and the seeds of Marturion Electronics ltd were sown. Andy has demonstrated he is fearless and a risk taker, but he firmly believes that any success he has enjoyed is entirely thanks to the grace of God. He faces life in the belief that anything is possible and that his job is merely to listen, learn and follow. Andy also identifies his ability to surround himself with smart people has been critical to the growth of Marturion Electronics ltd. Learning to delegate better to those around him has allowed his role to evolve from hands on implementation to become the strategic thinker and custodian of the future for Marturion Electronics ltd.

Ian MacCorkell: Company Secretary

Ian J MacCorkell is a Commercial Lawyer and founder of the niche legal practice of MacCorkell Legal & Commercial (MLC).A graduate of Queens University Belfast he qualified as a Solicitor in 1987. He founded MLC in 2002. The firm has been involved in many major property transactions within Northern Ireland, UK and Europe and acts for a diverse commercial and private client base. He has been involved in strategic development projects nationally and internationally and advises on legal, business and enterprise issues. He is involved in business development, and leadership training in NI, Kosovo and Moldova. Since 2005 Ian has visited Kosovo several times each year in business development ventures. He has assisted in the establishment of small businesses and worked alongside EU, the Investment Promotion Agency and Ministry of Trade and Industry in Kosovo from 2006 and UNDP from 2008 in seeking to bring inward investment and internal enterprise development. Ian acts as an Investment Promotion facilitator as required.

Maria McGrady: Quality Manager

Maria's core responsibility is to establish, review, maintain and implement changes to Marturion Electronics ltd's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure effectiveness in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003. This includes monitoring and analyzing non conformances, customer feedback and customer complaints; carrying out regular internal audits on all areas within the QMS; monitoring and evaluating suppliers based on performance; establishing and monitoring the status of Marturion Electronics ltd's quality objectives and in general ensuring all products designed by Marturion Electronics ltd are traceable and of the highest quality. Track record: Maria has previously worked within a Quality Assurance role from 2001 and as a Quality Manager since 2007

SoungEun Kim: Operations Manager

Soung’s core responsibility is to plan, prepare and manage the workshop for the company. Manage product schedule to reduce delivery time with good quality and develop process for a new design. Manage the good internal quality system and training and skill up the technician’s level with process engineering to meet the design target. Optimize equipments and materials to meet on time delivery and good quality. Manage health and safety to keep safety working condition.Track record: Soung previously worked as a Process Engineer and General Manager for Daewoo Electronics.
